Discover What Makes Hive Pack Different

Our
Story
The Discover Hive Pack page's job is:
"Now that you're interested, here is why we are different and why that matters for your child."
So I would make it deeper, but not huge. Probably a 3–5 minute read, not a 10-minute manifesto.
Here's how I would adjust the structure:
Hero
Don't repeat the homepage headline.
Homepage probably already says something like:
-
developing players
-
building confidence
-
preparing for the future
-
tryouts CTA
The Discover page could start with:
Discover What Makes Hive Pack Different
Short intro:
Hive Pack Hoops was created around a simple belief: youth basketball should develop more than just basketball skills. It should develop players who understand the game, compete with confidence, and are prepared for whatever comes next.
Then move on.
Section 1: Our Difference
This is the heart of the page.
A simple explanation:
We Are Not Just Building Teams. We Are Developing Players.
Then explain:
-
Most clubs organize players into teams.
-
We build environments where players improve.
-
Teams are the vehicle. Development is the mission.
This is where you introduce your mindset.
Section 2: The Hive Pack Pillars
This absolutely belongs here.
But I would keep each one relatively concise.
Maybe each pillar gets:
-
icon/photo
-
one sentence headline
-
2-3 sentence explanation
-
link to deeper Philosophy page
Example:
Play Free
Players perform their best when they trust their preparation. We want athletes who are willing to make decisions, embrace challenges, and play with confidence.
Then a link:
"Learn more about our basketball philosophy →"
Section 3: The Hive Pack Experience
This answers the practical parent questions:
"What does this actually mean?"
Include:
-
intentional coaching
-
competitive opportunities
-
player development
-
team environment
-
communication with families
Section 4: Who We Are Built For
This is important because you are not trying to appeal to everyone.
Something like:
Hive Pack is for families who want more than a jersey and a weekend tournament.
Then:
-
players who love basketball
-
players willing to be challenged
-
families who value development
Final CTA
Since this page is probably reached by homepage visitors:
Ready to Find Your Place in the Hive?
Buttons:
-
Register for Tryouts
-
Explore Our Philosophy
-
Meet Our Coaches
The big thing I would not do on this page:
-
long history of Hive Pack
-
detailed coaching methodology
-
Transforming Basketball/SAVI explanation
-
every program detail
Those each have their own homes.
The hierarchy becomes:
Homepage
↓
"Interesting... tell me more."
Discover Hive Pack
↓
"Okay, I understand who they are and why they are different."
Explore Our Philosophy
↓
"Now I understand why they coach this way."
Read Our Story
↓
"I want to know how this all started."
That flow is actually very strong. And given your upcoming tryout traffic, I would keep Discover Hive Pack focused on building trust quickly, not trying to educate everyone on everything. 🐝
One other thing: this page is where I would subtly address your biggest competitive challenge — families who think "bigger club = better opportunity." Not by mentioning other clubs, but by making the case that intentional development beats simply being part of a bigger machine. That is probably the most valuable message you can put there right now.
