Rookie Academy
Designed to range from your little one's very first experience with basketball, to being the home for your youngest hoopers to thrive, develop, and fall in love with hoops. Our Rookie Academy aims to give Kindergarten through 2nd Grade-aged kids an opportunity to learn and compete in an introductory setting that is most-conducive to long-term growth.
Winter Season 2025-2026
Our Rookie Academy will take place on twelve Mondays from October through February, from 6:15-7:15 at Waterford Elementary in Waukee.
The dates of play are:
Oct 20, Oct 27, Nov 3, Nov 10
Nov 24, Dec 1, Dec 8, Dec 15
Jan 12, Jan 26, Feb 2, Feb 9
The cost for the season is $240.

Coach Matt, the director of Hive Pack Hoops, leads a group of parent and older Hive Pack player volunteers through each night's activities. This provides a great opportunity for you to experience the fun WITH your player as they also get to work with some of the most experienced players in our program.
